Edenmore Drug Intervention Team (EDIT) is a thriving community drug
team that provides support for people who are experiencing problems
because of their drug and alcohol use.
We are offering an exciting new post for an experienced person who is
committed and passionate about making a positive difference in the
lives of others. We are looking for someone who has significant
experience of working with cocaine users in both group settings on a
one-to-one basis.
EDIT is collaborating with several other organisations within the
North Dublin area to deliver a specific standardised cocaine and crack
cocaine programme in response to growing concerns around the harms
related to this issue.
ESSENTIAL:
Candidates will have the following:
* Minimum of a level 7 diploma in Community Drugs Work, Community
Addiction Studies, Social Sciences, Community Development, or related
field.
* Minimum of 2 years paid experience in a substance use setting.
* Experience in one-to-one evidence-based interventions
(motivational interviewing, CRA, CBT), care planning and case
management.
* Significant experience of the design, delivery, and evaluation of
psychosocial and therapeutic groups.
* Have a thorough knowledge of drug related issues and their effect
on individuals, families, and communities.
* Significant experience of inter-agency/collaborative working.
* Can demonstrate strong analytical and research skills in relation
to review and evaluation.
* Can clearly demonstrate organisational skills including time
management, communication, goal setting and so on.
* Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills,
including IT skills.
* He/she must have administration capacity to discharge the
functions of the post.
* He/she must be personally motivated and be able to work on their
own initiative
* He/she must have a full, clean drivers? licence and access to a
vehicle.
* FLEXIBILITY IN TERMS OF WORKING HOURS ? THE POST HOLDER WILL BE
PROVIDING GROUP SUPPORTS AT LEAST TWO EVENINGS PER WEEK.

This is a full-time 3-year fixed term contract subject to funding and
completion of a probationary period.
